On July 5, 2012, our annual Camp Independence brought 125 Special Needs Citizens from across the Gulf Coast to enjoy a fun day at Gulf Islands Waterpark. Through the efforts of Project Independence and the generosity of Gulf Islands Waterpark in Gulfport, Ms., this free camp offers an opportunity for families and caregivers to network with others while the person with Special Needs feels included. Thanks to all staff, volunteers and participants for helping us break our record attendance of 362 people!
